Jamie Flinchbaugh

Jamie Flinchbaugh is a co-founder and partner of the Lean Learning Center in Novi, Michigan. He brings successful and varied experiences of lean transformation as a leader, practitioner and facilitator.  Under Jamie’s leadership, the Lean Learning Center has quickly become one of the most recognized and premiere lean providers in the world.  He is co-author with Andy Carlino of the best-selling The Hitchhiker’s Guide to Lean: Lessons from the Road. He is also featured by Assembly Magazine as a monthly columnist for Leading Lean

Jamie is also the founder of Old Dutch Group, LLC, an organization whose projects include entrepreneurial investment in manufacturing, media projects and marketing and promotion support. These investments include being a principal of Cobra Sport, a designer and producer of American-made off-road motorcycles for youth motocross racing.  Cobra was purchased by Rev! Motorcycles, a company co-founded by Jamie. He is also an investor in Flinchbaugh Engineering, Inc., an ESOP company that specializes in line transfers and contact machining operations. Jamie is also serves on the Board of Directors of S&S Cycle. S&S Cycle produces performance engines and aftermarket components for the V-twin motorcycle market. In 2006, Jamie was honored by Crain’s Detroit Business on the 40 Under 40 list which notes the accomplishments of young leaders in the community. 

In addition to his business activities, Jamie is also very involved in the education community.  He Chairs the Board of Advisors to Oakland University’s Pawley Institute which is dedicated to cross-discipline learning and the integration of lean knowledge into the curriculum.  He is a frequent contributor to Lehigh University. In 2004, he received Lehigh’s prestigious Alumni Award for outstanding service, and in 2006 he was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence and delivered the keynote address for the Honors Convocation. Jamie is a graduate fellow of the Leaders for Manufacturing Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he received an MBA from the Sloan School of Management and a Masters of Engineering degree. He has also received a Masters of Engineering from the University of Michigan and holds a BS in Engineering from Lehigh University.

Jamie resides in Bucks County, Pennsylvania with his wife Jill and three children, Emma, Jack, and Ben.
